Germie Bernard believes Alabama football’s freshman, Dijon Lee, has the potential to be an NFL first-round pick one day.

Lee became an immediate contributor for the Crimson Tide in 2025 as a true freshman. The California native started in five games at cornerback in his first season with the team.

Bernard feels Lee’s frame and skillset give him the potential to be a highly regarded NFL prospect in the future.

“Dijon Lee, he’s a freak athlete, man,” Bernard said. “He’s gonna be a guy that it’s not going to surprise a lot of people just because it’s his length, but his athletic ability is crazy, man. He’s a fast guy. He’s a guy that can make plays in the air. He uses his length. He has great technique. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a first-round draft pick coming out whenever he does.”

Lee finished his first year at Alabama with 34 total tackles, five pass breakups, 4.5 tackles for loss and two interceptions.

The former five-star returns as a projected starter for the Tide in 2026.
