Former Alabama football running back, Trent Richardson feels FanDuel projecting the Crimson Tide’s 2026 win total at 8.5 is disrespectful.
Richardson provided his take on why he feels this was disrespectful and why he thinks the Tide has earned this disrespect on “The Dynasty” podcast.
“These guys just gotta seal the deal with they self and find their identity,” Richardson said. “You don’t have these types of conversations or people talking about 8.5 wins. It’s a disrespect for me. This is what we earned, though. So, we’ve earned this disrespect for right now.
So, I hope guys seeing this stuff, somebody’s kind of putting this stuff in their ear, like It need to be a chip on your shoulder every time you work out, every time you go to meetings, every time you step on that field, it need to be a chip on your shoulder because that’s a slap in the face when it comes to Alabama football.”
Alabama football has a long list of things it can point to and use for motivation this fall. The FanDuel projection is yet another thing.
The Tide is currently going through spring practice. Alabama will kick off the 2026 season against East Carolina.
