Kalen DeBoer was complimentary of the Alabama Crimson Tide wide receivers after the Tide’s first scrimmage of the spring.
DeBoer talked with media members Friday after the scrimmage and shared the wideouts made a lot of plays. He said the plays were a result of multiple factors.
“I think they’re working really well with the quarterbacks,” DeBoer said. “They made a lot of plays today. They did a really nice job making the ones that are hard and sometimes that’s a catch and contact, but they hit some explosives today. That’s the offensive line providing the time. That’s the quarterback making a good decision, throwing on time, putting the ball where it needs to be.”
Touchdown Alabama has learned it was a good day for several Crimson Tide wide receivers at the scrimmage. Ryan Williams had multiple touchdown receptions, sources tell TDA.
The Tide is looking to build some trusted depth at wide receiver this spring, with there not being much proven production at the position outside of Ryan Williams and Noah Rogers. It looks as if Alabama took a step in the right direction with building that trusted depth in its first scrimmage.
One of Alabama’s latest highlight reels from practice included several impressive catches by wide receivers.
