This may change with the new leader Auburn has its head coach. In this opinionated piece, I break down the warning shot that Alex Golesh has sent to the University of Alabama – letting Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide know that the Tigers are coming for the crown.

Auburn had success under Gus Malzahn – including two Southeastern Conference Championships (one as an assistant coach), a BCS National Championship in 2010 (assistant coach), a Heisman Trophy winner (Cam Newton, in 2010), and two 10-win seasons – however, it finally has its first real deal football coach since Tommy Tubberville. 

Below is why Golesh sent a shot at Alabama.
