Alabama football’s head coach Kalen DeBoer provided the latest on EJ Crowell Friday during a press conference after the Crimson Tide’s spring scrimmage.
Crowell is a freshman for the Crimson Tide and is a former five-star recruit. It is likely the Alabama native will continue to be sidelined next week, per DeBoer with what has been described as a soft-tissue injury.
“EJ hasn’t practiced since last week, so probably more of the same for next week,” DeBoer said.
The freshman is expected to compete for playing time in year one in Tuscaloosa. However, the road to get on the field early appears to have a speed bump at the moment.
