Braylen Averett reported an offer from Alabama football this week.

Averett is a freshman at Central Phenix City High School in Alabama, and he is a member of the 2029 recruiting class. He now holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida and others. The 2029 prospect is pumped about his offer from the Tide.

“Of course, I am excited, blessed and grateful to receive an offer from the University of Alabama,” Averett told Touchdown Alabama. “The tradition speaks for itself, and the school carries a lot of pride. It’s a top-tier program, and I look forward to building a relationship with the staff.”

The Tide will host Averett for a visit Saturday for A-Day.

Central Phenix City has a rich tradition of producing great wide receiver prospects. Cam Coleman, Justyn Ross and Daylyn Ross are a few of the latest wide receivers to come out of the program.

Averett finished the 2025 season with 939 yards and nine touchdowns on 49 receptions. He displayed the ability to make plays in a variety of ways at wide receiver as a freshman. He created separation at the top of routes, turned short receptions into big plays and made some tough catches.
