Cederian Morgan enrolled at the University of Alabama before the Crimson Tide’s 2025 season ended, and he got a chance to participate in practice with the Tide before the Rose Bowl.
The Alabama native immediately garnered praise.
“I know Cederian’s been doing an awesome job over on the scout team for the defense, which is really cool,” Alabama football’s offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb said.
Touchdown Alabama was able to put eyes on Morgan throughout his time as a recruit, including at team 7v7 events with Benjamin Russell High School, the Under Armour Future 50 camp, spring practice, two games during the 2025 high school football season and at the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game & practices. One thing was clear every time Morgan was in action. He was Mr. Dependable when it came to catching the football.

It has not taken long for Morgan’s Alabama teammates to take notice of this trait. Ryan Coleman-Williams highlighted it after Morgan pulled in multiple catches and a touchdown during the Tide’s spring game, A-Day.
“That’s my dog, man,” Coleman-Williams said. “So, really just seeing him, I mean, he’s really stacking days early on, still learning and stuff because he’s only been here 24 seconds, just to see him continue to stack days. We call him the Gulf of Mexico. You throw it in there, he’s gonna catch it. You got plenty of space. I’m just super proud of my guy and we got two more practices and we’re just ready to continue to work.”
Morgan is listed at 6-foot-4 and weighs 223 pounds, and he wears the No. 8. He looks to be in position to push his way onto the field in the fall and remind Alabama fans of a young Julio Jones.
