Alabama football received some sad news on the heels of A-Day, but it presents an opportunity for others to step up.

Noah Rogers, a transfer from North Carolina State, was having a great spring at wide receiver for the Crimson Tide.

Alabama wide receiver will not be ‘ready to go’ to start 2026 season

He made several plays in practice, especially in the spring game, yet Rogers sustained a serious knee injury. He was carted off the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium and Kalen DeBoer updated his status via an interview with Tide 100.9 FM.

The Tide’s head coach said Rogers’ absence will bleed into the start of the season. He had positioned himself as a potential starter; however, Rogers’ injury now opens the door for three wide outs to be impactful.

Derek Meadows

Derek Meadows did enough this spring to earn an expanded role.
