The Arizona Cardinals remain the betting favorite to draft Ty Simpson ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, with sportsbooks like FanDuel and DraftKings having the Cardinals leading the way as the odds-on favorite.
The Cardinals have the No. 3 overall pick, but most draft experts do not see the organization taking Simpson with the pick. However, this does not mean the Cardinals will not take Simpson in the first round. It is a possibility that the organization trades to move back into the first round to get Simpson later in the first round.
ESPN’s Mel Kiper has the Cardinals trading up to take Simpson with the No. 30 overall pick in his latest mock draft.
Arizona is looking to rebuild after releasing Kyler Murray. If Simpson is drafted by the Cardinals, he will have an opportunity to be the quarterback of the future in Glendale.
Simpson started one season for the Crimson Tide before declaring for the NFL Draft. He threw for 3,567 passing yards and 28 touchdowns during his lone year as a starter.
