Kylen Johnson reported an offer from Alabama football on Monday.

Johnson is a sophomore at Plainview High School in Rainsville, Alabama, and he garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites. He now holds offers from Alabama, Missouri, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and others.

Johnson’s offer from the Tide means a lot, considering it was a random one.

“It was a blessing to have the offer, being from Bama,” Johnson told Touchdown Alabama. “I been watching them growing up my whole life win National Championships, the great receivers there like Julio Jones, Jaylen Waddle, DeVonta Smith, people like that, so growing up watching them and getting an offer is pretty cool for me.”

Multiple teams have offered Johnson at different positions. The Tide offered him at wide receiver.

The four-star feels he is a great football player as an offensive weapon.

“I’m very explosive,” Johnson said. “It takes more than one person to tackle me. I can get open in the open field, and I have good hands.”

Georgia, Georgia Tech and Clemson are among the programs set to get Johnson on campus for camps and visits this summer. Several other teams could be added to this list.

At 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, Johnson can be seen making plays on both sides of the football on Friday nights. At wide receiver, he is an explosive and tough wideout with the football in his hands. He can also rise up and go get the football in jump-ball situations.
