Alabama football defensive back development stands out to California 4-Star DB

Jordan Hicks reported an offer from Alabama football earlier this month as the Crimson Tide continues to push for West Coast defensive backs.

Hicks attends Mission Viejo High School, which is the same school Alabama sophomore defensive back and California native Dijon Lee attended. The 2028 recruit garners a four-star rating from most recruiting sites at the moment, with previous offers from Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and others.

Alabama’s player development is among the things that made earning an Alabama offer major for Hicks.

“It means a lot, and so blessed to receive the opportunity to be a part of the Crimson Tide,”  Hicks said.  “It is a great program, and especially talking about developing defensive backs is something I would say is their strong side.”

Alabama will look to get Hicks on campus in the future.

At 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, Hicks feels his instincts and ability to create takeaways are among the strengths of his game. Both parts of his game immediately jump out when his film is turned on. He breaks on the football with great instincts and tends to turn those great instincts into takeaways.
