Derrick Henry is continuing to help his former college head football coach, Nick Saban.
Saban gives back to children in Alabama through his Nick’s Kids Foundation. Henry, who played for Alabama under Saban from 2013 to 2015, continues to do his part by supporting Saban with this endeavor.
“I think an unintended consequence of this is we have a lot of players who have foundations now because they had the experience of giving back and helping Nick’s Kids when they were student-athletes, like Derrick Henry gives a book bag to all the kids that we have at our Nick’s Kids luncheon, the first day of fall camp,” Saban said while talking to reporters at the Nick’s Kids Foundation Golf Tournament. “All these things to me have a cumulative effect of how it helps other people have a chance to be successful.”
