BREAKING: 4-Star TE flips commitment from Alabama to Michigan

Colt Lumpris announced he flipped his commitment from Alabama to Michigan. He had been committed to Alabama since December.

Lumpris is a 2027 four-star tight end prospect, and he is one of the top receiving tight ends in the country. His decision leaves the Tide with one 2027 tight end commit with a pledge from Oakley Keegan.

The Tide’s staff was hoping to get the talented prospect on campus for an official visit this summer after not hosting him this spring. Multiple teams, including Michigan, had been recruiting the four-star hard for a long time. Alabama’s tight end coach Richard Owens and the Tide’s General Manager Courtney Morgan recently visited Lumpris.

Alabama is expected to continue to recruit multiple 2027 tight ends, including Sam Faniel and Malik Howard. Both are expected to officially visit the Tide this summer.
