2027 5-Star recruits Alabama football is in the mix for ahead of official visits

Alabama football currently holds a commitment from one five-star prospect, with a pledge from Elijah Haven. How many more five-stars will the Tide add to their 2027 class?

2027 recruits will start to make their way to Tuscaloosa for official visits this weekend, and these visits will continue throughout June. Here is a look at the five-star recruits the Tide is in the mix to possibly land ahead of official visits:

Monshun Sales – 5-Star WR

Sales is down to Alabama, Indiana, Miami and Ohio State, and he is expected to officially visit the Crimson Tide this weekend. Indiana appears to have made quite the impact on Sales when the Hoosiers hosted him for an official visit in April. Alabama’s staff has a chance to flip the script with a push to show Sales, who grew up a fan of the Tide, his belongs in Tuscaloosa with his visit.

The 6-foot-5 wide receiver prospect presents a massive target for his quarterback. He flashes the potential to be a big and physical wideout at more than 200 pounds. His physicality is also put on display when he lines up on the defensive side of the football.

Ismael Camara – 5-Star OL

Camara has plans to unofficially visit the Crimson Tide. He is currently considering Alabama, LSU, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M and others.

Alabama’s offensive line coach Adrian Klemm has placed the Tide in a solid position with Camara by visiting the five-star multiple times in the spring.

“I have said it over and over, Bama is Bama,” Camara told Touchdown Alabama. “In my lifetime, no college football program has been more dominant, produced more NFL top-tier talent, and won more National Championships. It’s not that I am saying something that is my opinion; those are just facts. That is what I mean when I say Bama is Bama.”

At 6-foot-6 and 344 pounds, Camara considers himself to be a physical and dominant force in the trenches but a nice guy off the field.

KJ Green – 5-Star Edge

Green is a 2027 five-star edge out of Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He will officially visit Alabama on the weekend of June 19.

The impressive prospect previously told Touchdown Alabama the Tide was the No. 1 team in his recruitment. However, LSU, Georgia, Oregon and South Carolina remain major factors in Green’s recruitment. Alabama could ultimately have a chance to seal the deal with Green when they get him on campus for an official.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder looks to be a great fit for the Tide’s wolf linebacker position, with the potential to possibly be effective at the bandit position. He is an effective pass rusher, utilizing his ability to bend, combined with his athleticism and length. He is also strong at the point of attack against the run.

Hayden Stepp – 5-Star DB

Stepp is down to Alabama, Cal, Georgia and Oregon, and he is set to officially visit the Crimson Tide this weekend.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder fits the mold for what the Tide continues to prioritize at defensive back with his length. He is a willing tackler when he is called upon to come downhill and help run support. When he plays in coverage, his length is a valuable asset in more ways than one. It allows him to have a wide coverage radius and make up ground quickly with long strides.

Xavier Sabb – 5-Star WR

Sabb is the younger brother of a pair of Alabama players. His older brothers, Keon and Amari, are slated to suit for the Crimson Tide this fall.

The New Jersey product recently stated he is considering Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Oregon, LSU and UCLA.

At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, Sabb is a smooth and fluid route runner. He can also be dangerous when the ball is in his hands, thanks to his ability to make defenders miss. The talented wideout also flashes impressive ball skills.
