Alabama football kicker target will be looking for home feeling on official visit this weekend

Luke Cody plans to be back in Tuscaloosa this weekend for an official visit.

Cody is a 2027 kicker out of Lumberton High School in Texas. He holds college football offers from Alabama, Graceland and Texas State. Kohl’s Kicking ranks Cody as the No. 9 kicker in the nation.

The rising senior sees his offer from Alabama as a major opportunity.

“It means to me that it’s a huge step into the next level,” Cody told Touchdown Alabama. “It is the opportunity to learn from the best and up my game as well.”

Cody worked out in front of the Crimson Tide’s staff on Monday and earned an offer from. He quickly locked in plans to return to Tuscaloosa to officially visit Alabama this weekend after earning offer.

“I think it’s a great program,” Cody said. “Still yet to see the campus but been awesome from what I’ve seen. Facilities are great as well.

The Texas product is looking for a place he can call home. He will see if Tuscaloosa is that place this weekend.

“I’m trying to find out if the place feels like home to me,” said Cody. “The hospitality has been great, but I want to be sure that I’ll be comfortable where I’m at.”

Cody nailed multiple field goals from more than 40 yards out, including a 54-yard field goal.
