Elijah Haven recently updated his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide while talking with Touchdown Alabama.
Haven is a 2027 five-star recruit, and he attends Dunham High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The five-star shared he is feeling good about his decision to verbally commit ahead of returning to Tuscaloosa for an official visit this weekend.
“I feel great,” Haven said. “Being from Louisiana, people like you to stay in the boot. Me and my family felt that Alabama was the best fit for me and best decision for our family moving forward in the future.”
Haven was recently named to the Elite 11 after an impressive showing at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles, California. He earned an invite to the Nike Opening Finals with his performance.
The Finals will take place later this month in Oregon. Haven will have an opportunity to win the MVP Award at the event.
The Alabama commit wants to help the Tide build an impressive 2027 recruiting class. He is doing his part by staying in contact with a pair of standouts at wide receiver.
“Talking to Monshun Sales right now, elite receiver and Osani Gayles, another elite receiver,” Haven told Touchdown Alabama at the Elite 11 Finals. “So, just trying to rally that the motto is still Bama is the place to be.”
Both Sales and Gayles officially visited the Tide last weekend. Their visit included a presentation of the future of the quarterback position in Tuscaloosa with pledges from Haven and Trent Seaborn.
Haven is an effortless thrower of the football with the ability to make all of the throws. He is also an athletic quarterback who is a multi-sport athlete.
The five-star led Dunham High School to a state championship in 2025, the school’s first state title since 2004. He threw for 3,931 yards and 62 touchdowns as a junior. He also added 794 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.
