Former Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs denied parole

Henry Ruggs (#11) walks off field for Raiders after 20-9 loss to Chicago Bears this season

Henry Ruggs was denied parole on Thursday

Ruggs was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison in August of 2023 after he plead guilty to one count of DUI resulting in death and one count of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in May of that year.

The former Alabama wide receiver is set to continue serving his prison sentence for a fatal drunk driving accident that resulted in the death of Tina Tintor and her dog. He pleaded guilty to driving 156 miles per hour while drunk on the night the crash happened in November 2021.

Ruggs will be eligible to appear before the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners again three months before his Aug. 24, 2027, mandatory parole release date.
