Alabama football’s 2027 recruiting class could very well be defined by how the next week goes for the Crimson Tide on the recruiting front.
Several of Alabama football’s 2027 targets will come off the board next week, with the Tide currently holding commitments from eight 2027 prospects. This basically means the base of Alabama’s 2027 class is built, and it is now time to build the core of what is expected to be a smaller class. Next week presents Kalen DeBoer and company with a great opportunity to build that core.
Tyler Younger, Cedrick Simmons, Stafford Willis, Junior Tu’upo, Jeremiah Beverley and Osani Gayles are expected to announce decisions next week. The Crimson Tide is in the mix for each of them. Here is how their commitment dates are shaking out:
Tyler Younger – 3-Star Edge – June 23
Cedrick Simmons – 3-Star WR – June 23

If Alabama is able to go on a run next week and land multiple prospects out of this group, this would be a great step forward for the Tide on the recruiting trail. This will also likely only leave a few slots open for the Tide to add more to what DeBoer continues to stress will be a smaller class. All signs point to next week going really well for the Tide.
On the flip side, if Alabama were to strike out multiple times next week, Alabama will have to do a massive reset. However, this is unlikely at this point, based on what Touchdown Alabama is hearing.
