Jalijah Rutledge reported an offer from Alabama football on Thursday. His offer comes after impressing the Tide’s coaching staff at camp last month.

Rutledge attends Moody High School in Alabama, and he is a member of the 2027 recruiting class. He holds previous offers from App State, Memphis, USF, Troy and others, and he is currently committed to App State. He is a former teammate of Alabama freshman wide receiver, Aubrey Walker. The Tide is now targeting Rutledge with a commitment from one wide receiver prospect in the 2027 recruiting class after Osani Gayles recently committed.

The in-state recruit feels grateful to hold an offer from the Tide.

“Receiving an offer from Alabama is truly a blessing,” Rutledge told Touchdown Alabama. “It’s something I’ve worked hard for, and to be recognized by a program with so much history means a lot to me. I’m thankful to God, my family, my coaches and everyone who helped me get to this point.”

Alabama’s reputation for developing the position also stands out to Rutledge.

“Alabama has a great track record of developing wide receivers,” Rutledge said. “They prepare players for the next level by pushing them to compete every day, and they’ve produced a lot of talented receivers who have gone on to have success in college and the NFL. That’s something every receiver pays attention to.”

The new Alabama target finished last season with 11 touchdowns, 1,152 yards, 60 catches, while averaging 20 yards per catch. At 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, Rutledge was a dynamic weapon out wide last season for Moody.
