As most football fans may know, and certainly hear on broadcasts often enough, games are won and lost in the trenches.

The Crimson Tide has assembled quite the collection of defensive linemen and talented pass-rushers over the offseason, and that’ll definitely be needed, considering some of the struggles the Tide faced last season and the talent it will face in 2026.

Over the course of a nine-game SEC schedule and a matchup with Florida State, Alabama will face a plethora of teams with revamped and experienced offensive lines. Here are the top ones it will face this season.

No. 1 Georgia

Coach Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs are bringing in a new, young offensive line in 2026, but don’t take that to mean it’ll be inexperienced. Led by one of, if not the best, center in the country alongside talented freshmen, Georgia’s line will dominate.

Returning center Drew Bobo will be the face of the trenches for Georgia, while tackle Earnest Greene III, who has accumulated over 1,900 snaps in his career, will return to Athens looking to make an impact after dealing with injuries in 2025.

Dontrell Glover and Juan Gaston are making their return after earning valuable reps as freshmen last season, while true freshman Zykie Helton is expected to start after showing off throughout the spring.

No. 2 Tennessee

The Volunteers will enter 2026 with four of their five starters on the offensive line from last year, giving them the foundation for one of the most successful offensive lines, especially with David Sanders Jr. returning.

Sanders started plenty of games for Tennessee as a freshman last season and did so while living up to hype as the No. 2-ranked offensive lineman in the class of 2025. Wendell Moe Jr., Sam Pendleton and Jesse Perry round out the returners.

Together, that trio will bring in over 4,600 combined snaps. But to round out the line, Tennessee also brought in 6-foot-8, 330-pound LSU transfer Ory Williams. His experience is limited, but his size extends his capabilities.

No. 3 Kentucky

The Wildcats, now led by former Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein, have put together one of the most experienced and talented offensive lines that the Crimson Tide will face in 2026, even earning the nickname of “Big Blue Wall.”

Kentucky will return one starter with junior right tackle Malachi Wood, and he’ll now lead a line centered around talented transfers in Ohio State’s Tegra Tshabola, Alabama’s Olause Alinen, Tennessee’s Lance Heard and Baylor’s Coleton Price.

Price has recorded over 2,200 snaps in his career, making him the most experienced on the Wildcats’ line. Tshabola and Heard have both recorded over 1,000 snaps each. There’s not much depth behind the five, but the five’s impact will certainly be felt.
