Zabien Brown can not wait to cover one of his former Alabama teammates: “It’s going to be a great night”

Zabien Brown is looking forward to being on the opposite side of Isaiah Horton this fall in an actual game.

Horton transferred from Alabama to Texas A&M after the 2025 football season. He caught 42 passes for 511 yards and eight touchdowns last season as a member of the Crimson Tide.

Now that he is no longer in the crimson and white, Brown is looking forward to covering Horton when Alabama takes on Texas A&M in Tuscaloosa on Oct. 24.

“He’s a great player,” Brown said at SEC Media Days. “He knows me. I know him. We know how each other play. We had a lot of great battles in practice, and I can’t wait for that matchup. It’s going to be a great night.”

Brown is what one may call a defensive playmaker. He has the traits to exceed in both man and zone coverages, and he has proven it. The California native managed to pull in five interceptions during his first two seasons of college football.

Many feel this could be Brown’s last season in Tuscaloosa.
