Alabama football’s wide receiver Noah Rogers went down with a lower-body injury on A-Day.

DeBoer previously shared he felt Rogers was ‘gonna take a little while to recover.’ He gave a more detailed timeline update on Rogers’ recovery at SEC Media Days while talking to Ryan Fowler on Tide 100.9.

“Yeah, he’s doing a great job. I think early on, when he first was injured, there was probably a timeline that he’s surpassed,” DeBoer said. “I would expect him to still miss some games early in the season. I’m not going to set limits on what he can do as far as how quickly he can come back; we want to be smart, but he has done a phenomenal job, along with our elite training staff and medical staff, to execute the plan that was in place, and he’s coming along very nicely, let’s put it that way.”

Rogers transferred to Alabama from North Carolina State after the 2025 football season. He earned praise from DeBoer during the spring.

“Noah’s been consistent,” DeBoer said. “He had a couple of nice catches, some big plays. Thought he was there when he needed to. Even just sometimes short ones where you got to move the chains. Maybe it’s not just a complete natural catch. He’d probably be the one that stood out the most.”

Rogers pulled in 33 receptions for 441 yards and two touchdowns last season at North Carolina State.
