Nick Saban talked about the Alabama Crimson Tide on the SEC Network at SEC Media Days Wednesday, and he revealed he felt the Tide was flying under the radar.

“They’re flying under the radar a little bit. A little bit unknown,’ Saban said. “I kind of actually like that as a coach because when we were picked high, I always was worried about how is this going to affect our off-season, our preparation, you know, the culture that you’re trying to develop with the team. So, you know, maybe coach DeBoer really likes the fact that they’re flying under the radar.”

Alabama football’s head coach Kalen DeBoer was asked about his feelings towards the Tide flying under the radar while addressing media members at SEC Media Days.

“I understand why with a lot of new faces,” DeBoer said. “And that’s okay because we got to go prove it. We do, we got to go out, and we got to get the job done. That’s really how I feel every year. It doesn’t matter how many guys you return. Last year… We had to do some things, not just talk it, we had to go decide what we were going to and commit to.”

Alabama has the 15th hardest schedule, according to ESPN’s Football Power Index.
