Jerry Jeudy shuts down narrative that he wants Watson to start for Browns

Former Alabama Crimson Tide star Jerry Jeudy finds himself entering a critical stage in his career with the Cleveland Browns this season. 

Jeudy was nothing short of a superstar throughout his time at Alabama. The talented route runner has had an up and down career over his first six seasons in the NFL, but Jeudy could quickly begin to shine as the Browns’ top receiving option moving forward. 

Jeudy found himself at the center of attention on social media this weekend. The former Crimson Tide star was recently responding to questions on a livestream, and Jeudy held up the number four in response to being asked who he wants the Browns’ starting quarterback to be. 

Jeudy would then clarify what he meant on X, as the route runner claims the entire situation was just a misunderstanding. 

“I don’t speak on decisions that aren’t mine to make.” Jeudy wrote. “I support my teammates/Brothers, I do my job, and control what I can control. Let’s stop creating narrative that aren’t there for likes and clicks. I bet this won’t go viral because it’s too positive/real for y’all.”

Jeudy recorded 602 yards and two touchdowns during his second year with the Browns last season. The veteran receiver could quickly bounce back this year regardless of who Cleveland’s starting quarterback will be, as Jeudy is set to take on a massive workload entering the 2026 campaign.
