Alabama players who are listed at more than 5 pounds heavier in roster update ahead of fall camp

A handful of Crimson Tide stars have gained a significant amount of weight over the course of the offseason this year. 

Alabama held an overall record of 11-4 last season, and the Tide will now look to build upon last year’s success in 2026. Each player listed below is credited with gaining at least five pounds this offseason, and the group as a whole should quickly begin to display their increase in strength over the course of fall camp. 

Crimson Tide defensive lineman Nolan Wilson and wide receiver Amari Sabb reportedly gained the most weight on the team. Wilson is listed 35 pounds heavier after enrolling in the summer, while Sabb is credited with gaining 25 pounds.

Gained 6 pounds: Keelon Russell, Michael Carroll, Xavier Griffin, Ty Haywood, Will Sanders

Gained 9 pounds: Rihyael Kelly, Jackson Lloyd

Gained 12 pounds: MJ Mathis

Listed 15 pounds heavier after summer enrollment: Bear Fretwell

Listed at 23 pounds heavier since fall camp: Malique Franklin

Listed at 25 pounds heavier after enrolling in the summer: Amari Sabb

Listed at 35 pounds heavier after enrolling in the summer: Nolan Wilson
