Alabama Wolf LB modeling his game after former Tide edge defenders

Alabama linebacker Justin Hill flashed major potential across his freshman campaign in Tuscaloosa last season. 

The sophomore will now look to shine in year two, and Hill will enter the 2026 season with a much larger role opposed to 2025. Hill cemented himself as a key rotational piece on the Tide’s defense last year despite being a true freshman, and the linebacker now finds himself in prime position for a breakout sophomore campaign in the near future. 

Hill recently spoke to the media following day 3 of Fall Camp, as the linebacker was able to reveal which NFL stars he models his game after. 

“Yeah, I mean obviously the greats that came before me.” Hill said. “Will Anderson and Dallas Turner, just watching a bunch of guys in the league. I try to turn on tape and just watch once I’m done with my actual tape.” 

Hill recorded 10 total tackles and 2.5 TFL across 15 appearances in 2025. Both Anderson and Turner are excellent players for Hill to model his game after, and each former Crimson Tide star has gotten off to an exhilarating start in their NFL careers.
