Alabama football’s first scrimmage of fall camp ahead of the 2026 season gets rolling in Tuscaloosa on Thursday.

With the Crimson Tide set to compete, here are five questions ahead of Alabama’s first scrimmage of fall camp:

Will Alabama Football’s Run Game Show Some Life?

Alabama football will need to run the football better in 2026.  There are no ifs, ands, and buts about it. The Crimson Tide finished the 2025 season without a single running back who carried the football a significant amount of time, averaging more than four yards a carry. Daniel Hill has told media members he feels faster after dropping weight. He also said the Tide’s backs should be more explosive this fall. Alabama’s first scrimmage is coming on the heels of a practice where Ryan Grubb said the Tide’s backs had a good day. Will they have a repeat performance in Bryant-Denny?
