Oregon transfer has added 20 pounds of muscle, taken game to another level at Alabama

Terrance Green is a player Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack wants to see put his off-season work on display this fall.

Green transferred to Alabama from Oregon after the 2025 season. He played in 25 games along Oregon’s defensive front during his time in Eugene. The defensive lineman had 22 total tackles, three tackles for loss and one sack as a Duck.

Alabama targeted Green as a possible big piece to its defensive puzzle out of the transfer portal.

“Obviously when you see Terrance’s frame, and you saw what, what he did at his previous institution, I mean, there were some there. You saw a piece to the puzzle of like if this guy continues to develop in the right way, he’s gonna turn into a very special player.”

Wommack feels Green could be at his best for the Tide this season because of the work he has put in.

“I was really impressed with the strides that he took,” Wommack told reporters. “He put on 20 pounds of muscle by the time we got through the middle of summer. He was able to grasp our concepts… Fundamentally, he has taken his game to another level, I think from where I saw him to where he is now. He’s gotta go do those things on game day, and so certainly excited about what he brings to the table for us in terms of a big physical athletic presence that, that we all know we needed to improve in that area.”

Green is expected to be a key member of the Tide’s defensive front this season.
