Former Alabama star Will Anderson Jr. was excellent in the Texans’ 20-6 loss to the Bengals on Sunday afternoon.
Anderson has been nothing short of elite to begin the 2026 campaign. The former Alabama star has picked up right where he left off in 2025, as Anderson recorded 8 total tackles and a sack on Sunday despite the loss. The superstar pass rusher was credited with three tackles for a loss as well, as Anderson made a massive impact throughout the entire afternoon despite Houston’s struggles on the offensive side of the football.
Anderson was originally selected by the Texans with the 3rd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The former Alabama star earned Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2023, and Anderson has since solidified himself as one of the top pass rushers in NFL history.
Houston will look to bounce back on the road in Indianapolis next weekend following an 0-2 start on the year, and Anderson could quickly begin to shine against an underwhelming Colts’ offense in Week 3.
