There is a chance that the Alabama vs. Georgia game will be impacted by weather conditions on Saturday in one way or another.

Kalen DeBoer was asked about how the weather could impact the game on Wednesday during the SEC Coaches Teleconference.

“Depends on the level of whether you get,” DeBoer said. “It would affect what happens. That’s not my area expertise. I’m just getting our football team ready. It hasn’t just affected us much other than we’re doing wet ball drills and getting wet ball involved with some of our team reps, just just like we did last week at times, preparing for the rain a week ago. But I’m not really involved in too much, just updated on kind of where things stand, if there’s anything that would need to be adjusted, but I haven’t heard anything recently.”

Alabama Athletics released an update on the game on Tuesday evening.

“Alabama Athletics is closely monitoring the weather forecast ahead of Saturday’s football game vs. Georgia. At this time, there are no plans to alter the contest,” the statement read. “We will continue to observe conditions throughout the week and remain in communication with the Southeastern Conference office, as needed. Fans are encouraged to rely on official Alabama Athletics and SEC channels for the latest information regarding Saturday’s game.”

Alabama and Georgia are set to square off in Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday.
