The Alabama Crimson Tide suffered their first loss of the 2026 season on Saturday evening.

Georgia was able to defeat the Tide by a final score of 20-17 at Saban Field this weekend. Alabama struggled offensively, and the unit as a whole was unable to consistently stay on the field and create pressure on Georgia’s defense.

Alabama tight end Marshall Pritchett took a moment to comment on the loss following the game, as Pritchett claims it’s frustrating when the offense is unable to stay on the field consistently.

“That’s frustrating.” Pritchett said. “As an offensive player, you know you want to be out there as much as possible. And same with Keelon, and everyone else in our unit. This is how football is, they did a good job of holding the ball. We got to go out there and execute and try to score three touchdowns at the end of the day.”

Pritchett recorded 2 receptions for 32 total yards and a touchdown despite the loss to Georgia. The talented tight end has emerged as a clear bright spot on offense to begin the year, and Pritchett will now look to continue playing at a high level on the road in Knoxville against Tennessee next weekend.
