Alabama starting center now doubtful for Tennessee game

Alabama football’s starting center Racin Delgatty is now listed as doubtful ahead of the Crimson Tide taking on Tennessee.

Delgatty went down with an injury against Georgia. If he is unable to go, the Tide is expected to lean on Mal Waldrep.

“That’d be Mal.” Alabama offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb said when asked who would start at center for Alabama if Delgatty was not able to go on Saturday. “We’re hopeful, we’ll see what happens. They braced it up at the end, but we’ll see. I know Jeff (Allen) is working his tail off to see what we can get, but yeah, Mal takes a ton of reps there. Does a really good job. Smart, tough, dependable. He’ll do a good job there.”

Alabama will travel to take on Tennessee in Knoxville On Saturday.
