Grubb analyzes play of Alabama’s wide receivers vs. Tennessee

Alabama Wide Receiver Rico Scott (7) catches the ball in the endzone against MSU at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field in Starkville, MS on Saturday, Oct 3, 2026.

The Alabama Crimson Tide have been in a critical offensive slump over their last six quarters of play.

Alabama was unable to score a touchdown in the second half vs. Georgia last weekend, and the Tide managed just 10 total points on the road against Tennessee. The unit as a whole will undoubtedly need to play much better football moving forward despite a handful of key injuries, and offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb will certainly be making some adjustments prior to facing Texas A&M in week eight.
