Alabama football’s chances to make the College Football Playoff took a hit after its BYE week, according to ESPN’s AllState Playoff Predictor. 

The Crimson Tide’s chances to make the playoff went from 63 percent to 60 percent, likely pointing to the importance of Alabama pulling off a win over LSU on Saturday. The model continues to predict the Tide will make the playoff if Alabama wins out. However, the Tide’s chances to make the playoff go down to 32 percent if Alabama loses to LSU but wins all of its remaining games.

Alabama is a road underdog against the Tigers, according to multiple betting sites.

The Tide is currently 6-2 on the season and now has the tenth-best chances to make the College Football Playoff, per the AllState Playoff Predictor.
