Kalen DeBoer gives updates on injured Alabama players ahead of LSU

Alabama Running Back EJ Crowell (13) in action against South Carolina at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, AL on Saturday, Sep 26, 2026.

On Monday, Alabama head football coach Kalen DeBoer provided updates on multiple injured Alabama players ahead of the upcoming game against LSU.

“A lot of these guys from Zabien Brown to Ryan Coleman-Williams, EJ [Crowell], Racin [Delgatty], Terrance Green in particular… those guys are all working onto the football field,” DeBoer said. “They’re not all in the exact same spot, but they’re all out there, going through workouts. Some are taking team reps. Some are taking non-contact reps. I think the progress by all of them is heading in a good direction. I think a lot of it is how their bodies respond after being out there and being pushed a little more at the end of last week and yesterday as well. That will continue to happen throughout the course of the week as well.”

Every player he named is dealing with some sort of lower-body injury, but each player will have a shot at playing against LSU on Saturday.

One player he did not mention was left guard Will Sanders, and he’s expected to miss time after having tightrope surgery on his ankle after the Texas A&M game.

Alabama football will play LSU in Baton Rouge this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT.
