Alabama player hints at positive update on Ryan Coleman-Williams ahead of LSU

Alabama football looks to be very close to getting Ryan Coleman-Williams back on the playing field ahead of its matchup against the LSU Tigers.

Rico Scott, an Alabama wide receiver, was asked what the Tide’s wide receivers would need to do if Coleman-Williams were to be out against LSU on Saturday, and Scott said the wide receiver was back.

“I would say just being more detailed, like just knowing what’s going on at all times,” Scott said. “I mean, he’s (Coleman-Williams) back, but I feel like everyone else on offense still has to step up, no matter who’s playing or who’s not.”

It has not been announced officially that Coleman-Williams will play this weekend against LSU. Kalen DeBoer provided the latest on the wide receiver and other injured Alabama players earlier this week.

“A lot of these guys from Zabien Brown to Ryan Coleman-Williams, EJ [Crowell], Racin [Delgatty], Terrance Green in particular… those guys are all working onto the football field,” DeBoer said. “They’re not all in the exact same spot, but they’re all out there, going through workouts. Some are taking team reps. Some are taking non-contact reps. I think the progress by all of them is heading in a good direction. I think a lot of it is how their bodies respond after being out there and being pushed a little more at the end of last week and yesterday as well. That will continue to happen throughout the course of the week as well.”

It will be interesting to see if Coleman-Williams is listed on the SEC Availability Report ahead of the game. The initial report will be released on Wedenesday evening.
