Biggest takeaway from Alabama defeating Sam Houston

Alabama forward London Jemison (6) in action against Ole Miss at Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham, AL on Thursday, Oct 15, 2026.

The Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Sam Houston Bearkats in dominating fashion tonight.

Alabama won by a final score of 96-74, as transfer forward Drew Fielder and sophomore London Jemison led the way with a team high 15 points. The Tide got off to an underwhelming start on the offensive end of the floor in the first half, but Alabama was able to bounce back in dominating fashion and shoot lights out throughout the final 20 minutes of play.

Arguably the lone blemish on the night for the Tide came on the glass, as Alabama was out rebounded by Sam Houston 45-42. Freshman Tarris Bouie was able to grab a team high 7 rebounds in addition to 13 points tonight as well.

Alabama ended the night shooting 32% from behind the arc, as Jemsion’s potential was on fully display while hitting a team high three 3-pointers despite coming off of the bench. The Tide will host Arkansas State on Friday evening for their second regular season contest of the year, and a handful of tonight’s standouts may emerge as difference makers once again.
