Nate Oats excited for everyone to see return of Alabama guard Aden Holloway

The Crimson Tide are set to host Arkansas State at Coleman Coliseum tomorrow night.

Alabama defeated Sam Houston in dominating fashion on Tuesday as a handful of new faces were able to make a massive impact. Star point guard Aden Holloway was unable to play in the Tide’s season opener due to an ongoing legal issue from the end of last season, but Alabama was able to secure the victory nonetheless.

Crimson Tide head coach Nate Oats took a moment to comment on Holloway’s status earlier today, as Oats was ecstatic when referring to the person he has grown into over the last few months.

“Holloway’s changed. I can’t wait for you guys to see him as a person, talk to him.” Oats said. “When you see Aden Holloway and what he’s about, how he talks to you, how he talks to his teammates, how he plays the game of basketball, sometimes how you handle some adversity in life shows a lot more about you and your character than what maybe got you into the adversity in the first place.”

Holloway will look to pick up right where he left off last season upon his return to the Crimson Tide’s lineup in the near future. The star senior averaged 16.8 points and 3.8 assists per game last season as Alabama’s second option behind Labaron Philon Jr., and Holloway appears to have grown in more ways than one following Oats’ recent comments.
