Saban says Kiffin will have the Alabama defense 1 play behind LSU all game if they do this

Nick Saban feels the Alabama defense will be playing on its heels all game against LSU if Lane Kiffin sniffs out the Crimson Tide’s defense in pre-snap.

Saban provides more details on this on ESPN’s College GameDay.

“The thing that I am most concerned about is how does Alabama’s offense play against LSU defense,” Saban said. “I don’t care how they do it. You can talk about stealing signals. You can talk about how you disguise your defense but when LSU and Lane Kiffin know what you are in, they are going to dial up the number one best play they can run against that look and you always going to be behind on defense. You always going to be one play behind, and they take advantage of that as well as anybody in college football.”

Bray Hubbard discusses the importance of the Alabama defense disguising against LSU earlier this week.

“I think Coach Kiffin and their offensive coordinator do a good job of trying to figure out what the defense is in and try to make their calls based off of what we’re in, so that’s part of the tempo and stuff like that,” Hubbard said. “We got to do a great job disguising and making sure they can’t just tip our coverages off of just our alignment, so I think that’s something that will be a big part of the game. Not letting them see what coverage we’re in and just being able to disguise out of different looks.”
