The Green Bay Packers were out bright and early this morning for their 8:20am practice. After a day in which many were impressed with young players on the roster like former UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley who threw for two touchdowns yesterday, the injury bug struck Packers training camp on Tuesday.
After an impressive day on Monday, former Alabama running back Eddie Lacy was forced to leave practice early on Tuesday with a sore foot. Packers head coach Mike McCarthy spoke about the injury saying “Eddie had some foot soreness.” McCarthy went on to say, “They just pulled him out there near the end.”
Lacy was impressive yesterday having multiple big runs and impressing the Packer faithful in attendance.
With a lack of depth at the running back position including former Tennessee rusher Rajion Neal the packers don’t have many other options at the position. If the Packers are hoping to return to the playoffs this season then they will certainly have to hope that their leading rusher can heal quickly and return to action.
