Bryce Thornton will officially visit Alabama during the fall, but he will return to Tuscaloosa this weekend for an unofficial visit.
Thornton currently attends Milton High School in Georgia. He received an offer from Alabama in March, and he included Alabama in his top five in April. The Georgia product plans to officially visit the Tide on the weekend of Oct. 8, which is the same weekend Texas A&m will travel to Tuscaloosa.
The Alabama target told Touchdown Alabama his relationship with Alabama’s defensive back coach Travaris Robinson was growing stronger after he listed Alabama in his top five.
“It has been going great with coach T-Rob,” Thornton said. “He is my guy. We are always laughing and playing, but he tells me what I need to do to become a better player.”
At 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, Thornton finished the 2021 football season with six interceptions and 54 total tackles while lining up primarily at safety. His recruitment hit another gear at the beginning of the year in large part due to his impressive junior season. Nick Saban told the rising senior he was impressed with his attacking playing style when Alabama offered him in March.
