Both players went to Instagram to share their numbers with fans. Anderson, a five-star receiver from New Orleans, La., announced he will wear No. 13 in the fall. He wore No. 82 in spring practice and impressed the team with his speed, explosive playmaking style, routes, hands, and moves in space. Anderson can be an elite slot receiver, but he brings competitiveness to win plays on the outside too. Coach Nick Saban looks at him to be a contributor on special teams, returning kickoffs for the team.

The 5-foot-9, 184-pounder has fans very excited about him.

Several Tide alums made No. 13 look good, including Tua Tagovailoa, George Teague, and ArDarius Stewart. Jahmyr Gibbs, a transfer running back from Georgia Tech, wore the number in spring practice for Alabama. He’s recently switched to No. 1.

We will see how much action Anderson will get in the rotation at receiver.
