Some Alabama fans are holding on hope for the Crimson Tide to make the College Football Playoff.
On Tuesday, the CFP Committee unveiled the new rankings and the Tide climbed up one spot.
After debuting at No. 6, Alabama dropped to No. 9 and now it’s No. 8. Coach Nick Saban will have his team prepared to face Austin Peay on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium at 11:00 a.m. CT. Alabama battles Auburn next week in the Iron Bowl, but could it get help from teams ahead of it in the CFP? USC (No. 7), LSU (No. 6), Tennessee (No. 5), TCU (No. 4), Michigan (No. 3), Ohio State (No. 2), and Georgia (No. 1) are in front of the Tide. A lot of football remains, and Alabama fans remember what happened during the BCS era in 2011. LSU earned a 9-6 victory over the Tide in the regular season, but several teams would lose in the following weeks. Alabama found itself in the driver’s seat to rematch the Tigers for a national championship, and it won.
And with that, here’s a look at your full #CFBPlayoff Top 25 for games played through Saturday, November 12.
