Alabama’s strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran was the primary voice heard throughout the team’s practice Tuesday. In a limited viewing period, media members saw the Crimson Tide stretch and its secondary work on creating turnovers.
TDAM contributor Ivan White and yours truly to recap what was observed.
Notes from Tuesday’s practice
- A’Shawn Robinson, Reggie Ragland and Ryan Kelly led the team through stretches during Alabama’s “flex” period.
- Specialists JK Scott, Adam Griffith and Cole Mazza were seen jogging in the first period, while stretching in the second one. Scott, who is very flexible, looks to duplicate his performance from last season.
- Short to intermediate passes were on the agenda for Alabama’s quarterbacks. Receivers caught passes, only to later be hit by defensive backs in an attempt to rip the ball out.
- Running backs worked with inside linebackers during “ball-out” drills, while tight ends were seen with outside ‘backers.’
