Will Lowery, a native of Hoover, Ala., came in Nick Saban’s first marquee recruiting class in 2008.

He arrived as a walk-on defensive back, but he played in 2010 and 2011. Lowery had 33 tackles, two pass breakups, and two interceptions in 2010 while assisting the Crimson Tide to a BCS National Championship in 2011. He was on two national championship teams (2009, 2011) and Coach Pruitt was with him for both. Pruitt served in a player development role in 2009 and on-field defensive backs coach in 2011. Lowery said, “put the bat signal out and bring Pruitt home.”
Not even a question. The man born to coordinate the defense at the capstone. Put the bat signal out and bring him home. https://t.co/Go6YyEXevJ pic.twitter.com/SmI2jD2mqN
