Jamonta Waller narrowed his recruitment down to ten schools Saturday.
Waller is a product of Picayune High School in Picayune, Mississippi. He has Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina Tennessee and Texas A&M in his top 10.
The Crimson Tide offered Waller in February and got him on campus soon after.
“It was just an amazing feeling, just knowing all the work I put in,” Waller said when asked about his Alabama offer. “When Alabama comes to my mind, I just think about the grit, the effort. I mean it is Alabama. It is the standard. When you play Alabama, you know you are going to get your best game.”

At 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, Waller’s size gives him an opportunity to flourish as an edge rusher or as an off-the-ball linebacker at the next level. He explodes out of his stance off the edge with the ability to play smoothly in space. He is open to being used in a variety of ways on the defensive front at the next level.
