SEC Network’s Jordan Rogers believes Alabama football’s quarterback race is led by two players in particular.
The Crimson Tide are believed to have five scholarship quarterbacks on their roster with the newest addition being Notre Dame transfer, Tyler Buchner. Rogers believes Buchner is already heavily in the mix to be Alabama’s starting quarterback next season alongside Ty Simpson.

“I think it’s a 2-man race between Ty Simpson and Tyler Buchner,” Rodgers said while being interviewed on “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning.” “I think you don’t bring in Buchner unless you believe this is the style of offense we need to run because of the talent we have around the quarterback, and I think they have a ton of talent. … They have a ton of weapons. I think they need a guy who can just play point guard and distribute. Bryce was good at that, but he was also a superstar and could make the wow throws.”
