The Alabama coaching staff named six players of the week following the Crimson Tide’s 24-21 win against Arkansas last Saturday. JC Latham, Amari Niblack and Kobe Prentice on offense; Justin Eboigbe on defense; and James Burnip and Quandarrius Robinson on special teams were all selected for their efforts against the Razorbacks.
OFFENSE
JC Latham
- Anchored an offensive front that helped account for 217 yards rushing on the day
- Cleared a path for Jase McClellan to rush for 83 yards, while Roydell Williams added 68 yards and Jam Miller finished with 40 on the ground
- Did not allow a sack, hit or hurry as Jalen Milroe threw for 238 yards and accounted for three scores
Amari Niblack
- Caught both of his targets for 43 yards and a touchdown
- Converted one first down to go with his scoring play from 29 yards out
- His first-down catch helped the Tide continue its final drive and eat clock to secure the win
Kobe Prentice
- Led the team with 93 yards receiving on two receptions
- Hauled in a career-long 79-yard touchdown to open the scoring for the Crimson Tide
DEFENSE
Justin Eboigbe
- Registered five tackles, including half a sack (-6 yards)
- Also contributed a pass breakup and one quarterback hurry
- Helped limit Arkansas to just 250 yards of total offense on the day
SPECIAL TEAMS
James Burnip
- Called on to punt seven times against the Hogs
- Averaged 49.9 yards per punt with a long kick of 59
- Totaled five punts of 50-plus yards while pinning the Hogs inside their own 20 on two boots
Quandarrius Robinson
- Posted a career-high six tackles, including three on the Tide’s special teams units
- Recorded two stops on punt team and one on kickoff coverage
- Also registered three tackles, including one for loss (-5 yards), from his outside linebacker post
