Travaris Robinson deserves a lot of credit for developing Alabama’s secondary in his second season working with it.

Alabama’s defensive backfield is one of the best in college football this season. Malachi Moore brings experience and Caleb Downs is an exciting freshman talent. Jaylen Key and Trey Amos add experience as transfers, but the Crimson Tide’s two boundary cornerbacks anchor its secondary.

Kool-Aid McKinstry and Terrion Arnold have been very successful. Arnold leads the group with three interceptions while McKinstry holds down his side of the field. Both defenders have shut down opposing wide receivers in the second-half of games. According to Pro Football Focus, McKinstry and Arnold are the best press coverage duo in the nation.

They are ready to take care of Auburn in Saturday’s Iron Bowl before facing Georgia.

Both arrived as five stars in the 2021 recruiting class and want a national championship ring. NFL Draft pundits see McKinstry as a top-10 pick, but Arnold has played his way into a first-round value.

We will see how both look against the Tigers.
