Alabama WR fires back at Michigan alum for comments against Crimson Tide

John David Mercer - USA Today Sports

An alumnus of the University of Michigan recently made comments about how he feels the Wolverines will beat Alabama by double figures in the Rose Bowl.

H followed up with stating how Michigan fans “have nothing to worry about” and that the Wolverines were tougher and better coached than the Crimson Tide. Betting sites in Las Vegas have Michigan as a 1.5 to 2-point favorite over the Tide, but one Alabama player is not taking the disrespect kindly.

Jermaine Burton, a senior wide receiver, fired back at Taylor Lewan (Michigan alum) on Instagram.

Burton is looking to win a second College Football Playoff National Championship with a different Southeastern Conference school. He leads the team for receiving yards (777) and has eight touchdowns on 35 catches.

Burton has bought full into the “LANK” mentality and wants to let Lewan know that Alabama is for real.
